A. Metered Water Rates: Where a meter exists, service charges for each resident, business, school, or organization shall be determined by the city council by resolution.
B. Nonmetered Water Rates: Where a meter does not exist, service charges for each resident, business, school, or organization that is connected to the city water system shall be determined by the city council by resolution.
C. Occasional Use Rates: When any resident, business, school, or organization shall require water from the city of Eden for occasional purposes such as, but not limited to, BLM firetrucks, commercial or private chemical rigs, etc., the service charge shall be determined by the city council by resolution.
D. Exemption From Rates:
1. When, in the view of the city council, any resident, business, school, or organization that contributes to various determined purposes on behalf of the city such as, but not limited to, services performed for the city such as backhoe work, welding, outside fire protection, etc., then by resolution of the city council, they may be exempt from water fees stated herein and provided such resolution will list the amount and/or time of the exempt fee.
2. The current resolution specifically exempts the First Segregation fire department from subsection C of this section, as listed herein for an indefinite period of time. (2015 Code)
