2-1-1: LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   License Required: No person shall operate, conduct or engage in any industry, vocation, occupation, trade or other business for profit within the city limits without first obtaining an appropriate license from the city.
   B.   Exceptions: Units of local government, state or federal agencies or departments, bona fide churches and persons or entities engaged entirely in charitable activities shall be exempt from the license requirements of this chapter.
   C.   Conditions For Issuance: Licenses shall be issued upon payment of the fees specified in this chapter, upon the applicant's compliance with the applicable provisions of this chapter and upon approval of the city council.
   D.   Personal Privilege: All licenses shall be a personal privilege of the holder. Except as expressly provided in this chapter, a license shall become null and void if the holder ceases to personally supervise, conduct and operate the trade or business for which the license has been issued.
   E.   No Refund Of License Fee: Unless otherwise provided in this chapter, no license fee or any part thereof may be refunded even though the licensee does not operate for the period or any portion of the period for which the license was issued. (Ord. 2009-9, 11-9-2009, eff. 1-1-2010)
