Automobiles, trucks and other vehicles shall be temporarily permitted to park on the south side of 16th Avenue and on the north side of 17th Avenue and 18th Avenue (marked Illinois Route 92) between 1st Street and 11th Street until such time when the above parking shall be eliminated as may be determined to be necessary by the state from traffic capacity studies. Parking shall be prohibited on the opposite side of the above avenues with the exception of along the north side of 16th Avenue between 7th Street and 11th Street where parking shall be permitted. Parking within this improvement shall be parallel parking only, diagonal parking being hereby expressly prohibited. Such parallel parking shall be so executed that the wheels of the vehicles nearest the curb shall be not farther away from the curb than twelve inches (12"). Parking will not be permitted within the limits of the intersections as determined by the state from intersection studies.
In addition, parking shall be prohibited along either side of 18th Avenue from 11th Street to 19th Street. (Ord. 71-5, 1-18-1971)
