There is hereby established a "No Wake" area for the immediate area of the city boat launch at Riverfront park. The director of municipal services is hereby directed and authorized to erect and maintain no wake signs at said location with buoys or appropriate signs. All buoys or signs posting such "No Wake" area shall meet the specifications as prescribed by the United States coast guard or the Illinois department of conservation.
Any person operating a motorboat or any vessel in excess of five (5) miles per hour in a properly posted "No Wake" area, shall be in violation of this ordinance and shall be subject to a general penalty provision of this code. (Ord. 89-19, 8-7-1989)
