7-13-13: PHYSICAL FACILITIES:
   (A)   Tattooing shall be performed in a room of not less than one hundred (100) square feet, and shall be physically separate from toilet rooms and waiting areas.
   (B)   Floors and floor coverings in all toilet rooms, janitors closets and tattooing rooms shall be constructed of smooth, durable material such as sealed concrete, terrazzo, ceramic tile or durable grades of linoleum or plastic, and shall be maintained in good repair.
   (C)   The walls, wall coverings and ceilings of toilet rooms, and tattooing rooms shall be light-colored, smooth, nonabsorbent and easily cleanable. All junctures between walls and floors shall be covered and sealed.
   (D)   Permanently fixed artificial light sources shall be installed to provide at least twenty (20) foot-candles of light intensity in all toilet rooms and tattooing rooms.
   (E)   All tattooing establishments shall provide at least one utility sink or curbed cleaning facility with a floor drain for the cleaning of mops or similar wet floor cleaning tools and for the disposal of mop water or similar liquid waste.
   (F)   All rooms shall have sufficient ventilation to keep them free of excessive heat, steam, condensation, vapors, obnoxious odors, smoke and fumes.
   (G)   An adequate number of lockers or other suitable facilities shall be provided and used for the orderly storage of employees' clothing and other belongings.
   (H)   Tattooing establishments shall be maintained free of pest insect and/or rodent infestations.
   (I)   Tattooing establishments shall not allow the keeping of other live animals within the tattooing room except for canine accompanying the visually handicapped. This exclusion does not include the presence of birds in cages or fish in aquariums in the waiting room. (Ord. 95-1, 2-6-1995)
