7-12-7: INFECTIOUS WASTE TRANSPORTER:
   (A)   Any person desiring to operate as a commercial infectious waste transporter shall submit written application to the Health Officer.
Such application form shall be prepared by the Health Department and shall include the applicant's full name, post office address, and the signature of an authorized representative of the applicant; shall disclose whether such applicant is an individual, firm, corporation, and description of the site(s) that the applicant is planning to use to treat or dispose of infectious waste.
   (B)   Infectious waste collection/transportation vehicles used by permitted infectious waste transporters shall have a leakproof, fully enclosed non-compacting container compartment of a durable and easily cleanable construction, and shall be identified on each side of the vehicle with the name or trademark of the infectious waste transporter and with the standard BIOHAZARD symbol or otherwise to indicate containment of infectious waste.
   (C)   All persons collecting or transporting infectious waste shall avoid littering, the creation of other nuisances or hazards at the loading point, during transport and upon unloading of the waste.
   (D)   The Health Officer may require disinfection of any vehicle. Vehicles shall be cleaned frequently to prevent rodent/vector nuisances. All waste-water from vehicle cleaning shall be disposed of in a sanitary sewer system unless otherwise authorized by the Health Officer.
   (E)   Infectious waste transporter shall have available at all times a containment kit/equipment so as to control accidental leakage, or spill, of infectious waste from transport container. All spills shall be reported to the Health Department. (Ord. 90-31, 8-20-1990)
