6-5-4: CARE OF IMPOUNDED ANIMALS:

Animals which are kept in the city pound shall be humanely treated and fed; such pound shall be under the charge of the chief of police who shall be responsible for the care and custody of the same. Unredeemed animals shall be transferred to the Rock Island County animal shelter within three (3) days after the impound date of the animal. (Ord. 04-15, 5-3-2004)
