6-3-36: THEFT FROM COIN-OPERATED MACHINES:
   (A)   Definitions: All the terms and phrases used herein shall have the same meaning as ascribed to them in the Criminal Code (720 ILCS 5/15-1 et seq., and 5/16-1 et seq.) and amendments thereto; except, should the term "person" be limited therein to natural persons who have attained the age of seventeen (17) years or more, said limitation is specifically excluded herein, and the term "person" is made applicable to all natural persons who have attained the age of thirteen (13) years or more.
   (B)   Offense Of Theft From Coin-Operated Machines: A person commits the offense of theft from coin-operated machines when he knowingly and without authority and with intent to commit theft from such machine, opens, breaks into, tampers with or damages a coin-operated machine.    (C)   Penalty: Any person violating the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00), nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00). (Ord. 83-5, 1-17-1983)
