6-3-4: BONFIRES:
   (A)   Permit Required: No person shall kindle or maintain any bonfire or rubbish fire or authorize any such fire to be kindled or maintained on or in any public street, alley or other public place in the city, without having first secured a permit from the fire chief.
   (B)   Location Restricted: No person shall kindle or maintain any bonfire or rubbish fire or authorize any such fire to be kindled or maintained on any private land unless:
      1.   The location is not less than fifty feet (50') from any structure and adequate provision is made to prevent fire from spreading to within fifty feet (50') of any structure or building.
      2.   The fire is contained in any approved waste burner with closed top, located safely not less than fifteen feet (15') from any structure.
      3.   Such fires are attended.
   (C)   Chief May Prohibit: The chief of the fire department may prohibit any or all bonfires and outdoor rubbish fires when atmospheric conditions or local circumstances make such fires hazardous.
   (D)   Kindling Of Fire On Land Of Others: No person shall kindle a fire upon the land of another without permission of the owner thereof or his agent. (M.C. 1962, sec. 28.013)
