It shall be unlawful for any person wilfully or maliciously to torture, torment, beat, kick, strike, mutilate, injure, disable or kill any dog used by the police department of the city in the performance of the functions or duties of such department or to interfere with or meddle with any such dog while being used by said department or any officer or member thereof. Any person violating any provision of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. (Ord. 68-21, 9-16-1968)
