5-3-9: RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALARM RESPONSE:
Every person who has on his premises under his control or ownership an alarm system, audible or silent, shall, upon notification that the alarm system is giving a signal, proceed within thirty (30) minutes to the premises and render all necessary services, provided, however, that the owner of the premises may enter into an agreement with an alarm business to respond in his stead.
   (A)   Failure to respond to notification of an activated alarm shall be considered a violation of this provision and shall result in a penalty of fifty dollars ($50.00).
   (B)   The members of the fire department shall respond as promptly as possible to any and all alarm actuations. However, there will be a service charge for excessive false alarms or nuisance alarms to which the fire department is required to respond. There shall be no penalty for the first false alarm by the system in any one fiscal year. Thereafter there shall be a penalty for each false alarm in said fiscal year in the amount of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00). (Ord. 07-10, 8-6-2007)
