The fire chief shall enforce reasonable minimum standards and regulations for the construction and maintenance of all fire alarm systems installed within the city as provided in NFPA 72 (the national fire alarm code handbook). All devices shall meet or exceed such standards, regulations and adopted codes before their operation is allowed within the city. The fire chief may require inspection and approval of all alarm systems installed within the city. (Ord. 07-10, 8-6-2007)
