5-1-3: DUTIES OF FIRE CHIEF:
The fire chief shall be chief of the fire department, and shall be responsible for the care of the apparatus belonging thereto and the conduct of the members. He shall keep such records and make such reports showing the activities of his department as may be required by the mayor and council. (1962 Code § 8.003)
