1-5-1: ELECTION; FUNCTIONS:
The members of the council shall be elected and serve for a four (4) year term as is provided by statute. The council shall be the legislative division of the city government and shall perform such duties and have such powers as may be authorized by statute. (1962 Code § 2.101)
