2-21-1: CREATION AND MEMBERSHIP:
There is hereby established a committee to be known as the pathway priorities project committee, consisting of nine (9) members, to be appointed by the mayor, with the advice and consent of the city council. The members should be appointed from any of the following groups:
City of East Moline residents.
Employees or officers of school district 37.
Employees or officers of school district 34.
Employees or officers of school district 30 (UTHS).
Bistate regional commission.
Community Not For Profit Health And Wellness Organization.
East Moline business owner or representative.
One member of the committee shall be appointed from the city of East Moline engineering department.
The members shall be selected and appointed on the basis of interest in the area of pedestrian sidewalk and trail projects, transportation planning, education, public safety, engineering and architectural principles.
The members shall serve without compensation, but may be reimbursed for any personal expense incurred in the performance of their duties, subject to prior approval of the city council.
The chairman of the committee shall be elected annually by a majority vote of the committee. The chairman shall annually appoint a recording secretary. (Ord. 11-01, 1-18-2011)
