(A) The Town Clerk shall receive a salary in lieu of all fees and other compensation provided for in the General Statutes, commencing September 1, 1976.
(B) The salary of the Town Clerk shall be fixed by the Board of Selectmen, subject to necessary appropriation.
(C) Commencing September 1, 1976, all fees and other compensation which the General Statutes provide should be paid to the Town Clerk, shall be collected by the Town Clerk and deposited in the General Fund of the town.
