Any applying charitable organization which is exempt from registration requirements under the Act, and any charitable organization which has filed a current registration statement and is in good standing with the State Department of Consumer Protection shall, after verification of its status, be issued a permit for a period not to exceed one year. Any person applying for a religious organization shall, after establishing his or her identity and his or her authority to act for such religious organization, be issued a permit for a period not to exceed one year.
