4.2.1. The terms of appointment to any board shall be four years, commencing the first Monday of January in the even-numbered years and shall expire at staggered biennial intervals.
4.2.2. Any appointment to the office of Town Director of Emergency Management for the Town of East Lyme shall be for a term of four years.
4.2.3. The terms of appointment of all other officers shall be four years, unless otherwise specified, commencing the first Monday of January, 1966 and quadrennially thereafter.
4.2.4. Any vacancy shall be filled within thirty days by the Board of Selectmen for the unexpired term, unless otherwise provided by ordinance.
