The Board of Health shall have all the powers and perform all the duties granted to or imposed upon boards of health by the laws of the State or the provisions of these Codified Ordinances, or by any ordinance of the City. The Board of Health shall enforce or cause to be enforced all laws of the State, together with all ordinances and regulations of the City in connection with or in reference to the public health, the prevention or restriction of disease and the prevention, abatement or suppression of nuisances. The Board of Health shall determine the salaries of its employees.
