No owner or operator of any poolroom, billiard room or bowling alley shall permit to be played, nor shall anyone present therein play, any game upon any table or alley for money or other valuable thing whatever, nor shall they permit or engage in the playing of cards, the operation of punchboards, the operation of raffling devices, the use of a pea ball or other game of chance or any form of gambling whatever, in any billiard room, poolroom or bowling alley, or in any room where pool or billiard tables or bowling alleys are located.
