§ 1.216 DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY.
   (A)   Whenever any city property, real or personal, is no longer needed for corporate or public purposes, the same may be offered for sale. Personal property not exceeding $1,000 in value may be sold for cash by the purchasing agent after receiving quotations or competitive bids therefor for the best price obtainable. Personal property with a value in excess of $1,000, or real property, may be sold after advertising and receiving competitive bids as provided in § 1.212 of this code and after approval of the sale by the Commission.
   (B)   Real property which is assessed at less than $10,000 on the city’s assessment roll may be sold without receiving competitive bids therefor upon determination by resolution of the City Commission that it would not benefit the city to have competitive bidding and upon approval of the sale by the City Commission. In all other instances, real property may be sold only after advertising and receiving competitive bids as provided in § 1.212 of this code and after approval of the sale by the City Commission. SALE, as used in this section, shall include lease or other disposition of the property.
