§ 3.130 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION.
   The city hereby creates a Parks and Recreation Commission consisting of nine members, all of whom shall be residents of the city. One member shall be a School Board member nominated by the city’s School Board. The remaining eight members shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Commission. One of these members shall be a City Commissioner. Beginning July 1, 2020, the term of each member shall be for three years, except that three members appointed July 1, 2020 shall initially serve for one year, three members shall initially serve for two years, and three members shall serve for three years in order to stagger the normal three-year terms. The members to be appointed on July 1, 2021 shall then be appointed for a three-year term. The members to be appointed on July 1, 2022 shall then be appointed for a three- year term. From then on, all Commissioners should be on a three-year term cycle.
