§ 30.03 COMPENSATION.
   (A)   The compensation for each member of the Board of Trustees shall be as set by the Board for attendance at each regular meeting, each special meeting and each adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees actually attended by each Trustee, the compensation to be paid to the several members of the Board of Trustees quarterly.
   (B)   Travel expenses necessarily incurred by the several members of the Board of Trustees while attending to village business and affairs, for which a written voucher is furnished, shall be paid to the member promptly upon approval by the Board as in other claims against the village, as defined and in accordance with village policy.
   (C)   Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary, each elected or appointed member of the Board of Trustees may forego any, or all, compensation for attendance at each regular meeting, each special meeting, or each adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees attended by each Trustee. Any Trustee wishing to forego compensation for attendance at any regular, special or adjourned meeting shall notify the Village Treasurer, in writing, of their decision, its effective date, and the duration. Nothing in this section shall prevent any Trustee who has elected to forego compensation from electing to receive compensation in the future, upon written notice to the Village Treasurer of their desire to rescind the election to forego compensation.
