§ 33.15 EMERGENCY INTERIM SUCCESSOR.

   (A)   In the event of an emergency, the line of succession for the Village President will be as follows:

      (1)   Mayor or Village President;

      (2)   First senior-most Board Member;

      (3)   Village Administrator;

      (4)   Director of Public Works/Deputy Administrator;

      (5)   Chief of Police;

      (6)   Lieutenant of the Police Department;

      (7)   Fire Chief; and

      (8)   Kane County Board Chairman.

   (B)   The most senior Board Member is the one who has served for the longest consecutive period. In the event that two or more Board Members have equivalent seniority, the emergency interim executive successor shall be chosen in alphabetical order. The successor shall exercise the powers of the office of Village President.
