The following additions are hereby made to the State Code.
(A) Chapter 1 - Definitions.
70-1-290 LOADING ZONE. The space adjacent to a curb reserved for the exclusive use of the loading or unloading of passengers or materials.
70-1-291 PUBLIC BUILDING. A building used by the municipality the county, any school district, the State of Illinois or the United Sates Government.
(B) Chapter 11, Article V - Driving While Intoxicated, Transporting Alcoholic Liquor and Reckless Driving.
70-11-590 NEGLIGENT DRIVING. It shall be unlawful for any reason to operate any vehicle negligently, heedlessly or without due caution in a manner as to endanger or be likely to endanger any person or property.
(C) Chapter 11, Article XIII - Stopping, Standing and Parking.
70-11-1390 RESPONSIBILITY OF OWNER. The fact that a vehicle is registered in a persons name shall be prima facie proof that the person was responsible for any violation of any parking regulation of this chapter involving the vehicle.
70-11-1391 PARKING PENALTIES. Parking penalties to be determined annually pursuant to the fee schedule as established by the Village Board.
(D) Chapter 11, Article XIV - Miscellaneous Laws.
70-11-1490 CLINGING TO MOVING VEHICLES. Any person riding upon any bicycle, motorcycle, coaster, sled, roller skates or any moving vehicle, shall not attach the same or himself or herself to any moving vehicle upon any roadway. No person shall ride on the running board, fender, hood, roof, trunk or outside step of any vehicle.
70-11-1491 USE OF COASTERS, ROLLER SKATES AND SIMILAR DEVICES. No person upon roller skates or riding in or by means of any coaster, toy vehicle or similar devices shall go upon any roadway except while crossing a street in a crosswalk and except on streets set aside as play streets when and as authorized by ordinance.
70-11-1492 DAMAGE TO PROPERTY. It shall be unlawful for any person for any reason to operate any vehicle in a manner so as to willfully, maliciously, wantonly, negligently or otherwise injure, deface, destroy or damage property, whether real property, personal property or mixed property.
70-11-1493 UNNECESSARY NOISE. It shall be unlawful to operate a vehicle which makes unusually loud or unnecessary noise or cause a vehicle to do the same.
