Any user who is found to have violated an order of the Board of Trustees or who has failed to comply with any provision of this chapter or the orders, rules, regulations, and permits issued hereunder may be fined in an amount not less than $50 and not to exceed $1,000 dollars for each violation in accordance with the terms and provisions of Section 6.1 of the “Sanitary District of 1917” (ILCS Chapter 70, Act 2405, § 6.1). For the purpose of this section, each day in which any such violation shall occur, shall be deemed a separate violation, and a separate violation shall be deemed to have occurred for each constituent listed in §§ 53.021 through 53.023 of this chapter found to exceed the limits established in this chapter during any such day. For each separate violation, each such person may be fined an amount not less than $50 and not to exceed $1,000. In addition to the penalties provided herein, the village may recover reasonable attorney’s fees, court costs, and other expenses of litigation by appropriate court action against the person found to have violated this chapter or the orders, rules, regulations, and permits issued hereunder.
