In subdividing property, due consideration shall be given by the subdivider to the dedication of suitable sites for parks, playgrounds and schools so as to conform as nearly as possible to the needs of the city and the adjacent area. Such provision shall be indicated on the preliminary plat in order that it may be determined when, whether, and in what manner such sites will be dedicated to the public. One lot in each fifty (50) lots shall be dedicated to the city as a playground area. (Ord., 12-5-1961)
