It shall be unlawful to keep or maintain horses, ponies, mules, cattle, sheep, goats, fowl and poultry (roosters) or swine within the city limits on property less than two (2) acres in size. Except that the property owner may have a total of three (3) (ducks, or rabbits) and five (5) (chickens) in a residentially zoned district. Any person who shall violate this section shall be held as maintaining a nuisance. In regard to aforementioned animals within the city limits as of September 18, 2000, and otherwise prohibited under this section, said animals may be retained until September 19, 2005, under such terms and conditions as are promulgated by the city relating to sanitation, odor and noise.
