A. Chief Of Police: The chief of police shall supervise all members of the department, assign duties, prescribe regulations and be responsible for all property connected with said department. The chief of police shall hold their respective office for the same term as now provided by law for the mayor and city clerk.
B. Police Officers: The members of the police department shall devote their whole time and attention to the discharge of their duties according to the ordinances of the city, laws of the state, and the rules and regulations which the chief of police may prescribe from time to time. It shall be the duty of each member of the police department to preserve order, peace and quiet and to enforce the laws and ordinances throughout the city. (Ord. 11-0706, 7-5-2011)
