§ 529.12  MAYOR AUTHORIZED TO PERMIT CONSUMPTION ON CITY PROPERTY.
   The Mayor hereby is authorized to permit the consumption of alcoholic beverages at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Civic Center, the Helen S. Brown Senior Citizen Center and other properties owned by the city for such events and pursuant to such requirements as he or she shall determine and upon notification to Council; provided that no such permission shall be given in connection with any event that has not obtained the requisite permit, if any, from the state’s Division of Liquor Control and made provisions for security that is acceptable to the Chief of the Department of Police.
