Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, it shall be unlawful and a violation of the provisions of this chapter for any person:
(a) To cause, allow or permit any vehicle to be parked overtime or beyond the maximum period of legal parking time established for any parking meter space as herein described, or to deposit in any parking meter any coin for the purpose of parking beyond the maximum legal parking time for the particular parking meter space;
(b) To park any vehicle in any parking meter space adjacent to any parking meter while such meter is displaying a signal indicating illegal parking without immediately depositing in such parking meter the coin or coins provided by this chapter;
(c) To park any vehicle across any line or marking of a parking meter space, or in such position that the vehicle shall not be entirely within the area designated by such lines or markings;
(d) To park in a permit parking space without at that time having a permit issued pursuant to § 355.07, except where free parking is authorized;
(e) To deface, injure, tamper with, open or willfully break, destroy or impair the usefulness of any parking meter installed under the provisions of this chapter;
(f) To deposit or insert or cause to be deposited or inserted in any parking meter any matter or substance other than lawful coins of the United States of America, whether or not such matter or substance is inserted or deposited as a substitute for such lawful coins, or to perform any act other than the deposit of such coins for the purpose of securing or increasing the meter indication of legal parking time; and/or
(g) To fail to comply with any other provision of this chapter.
