No license provided for herein shall be required for solicitors engaged in the following activities:
(a) For solicitors under the age of 18 years who sell soap, candy or other wares of a religious, educational, civic or other charitable organization; or
(b) For solicitors who solicit only for wholesale delivery to merchants, manufacturers or other business persons at their places of business, or who solicit only from professional individuals, merchants, manufacturers or other business persons at their offices or places of business or factories, the sale of equipment or other articles of personal property used in the conduct of their respective professions, businesses or manufacturing establishments.
