§ 114.002 BUILDING CONTRACTORS BOARD OF EXAMINERS.
   (A)   There is created a Building Contractors Board of Examiners, appointed by the Mayor, which shall consist of the Building Commissioner, one licensed architect or licensed engineer, one licensed building contractor, one member of the building trades union, two lay members and one Council member who is the Chairperson of the Building and Zoning Committee of the Council.
   (B)   Four members of the seven Board members shall constitute a quorum.
   (C)   The Board shall adopt rules for the conduct of its business, the consideration of license applications, the holding of examinations, oral and written, the recommendations to the Mayor for suspension and revocation of licenses, and all other matters pertaining to the proper administration of the requirements of this subchapter.
   (D)   The Board shall keep written records.
   (E)   (1)   The Board will be empowered to hear complaints from the general public relative to any violations of the building regulations or this subchapter by licensed contractors or other adverse conditions resulting from work done by a licensed contractor.
      (2)   The Board may take necessary appropriate action as defined in this subchapter or make necessary recommendations to other municipal departments, agency, or boards of the city government to correct any adverse conditions resulting from inferior, fraudulent, or unworkmanlike work done by any contractor licensed by this subchapter.
