   (B)   Description of business categories.
      CHARITABLE/FRATERNAL (HALLS). Of an organization or activity officially recognized as to assist those in need.
      DAY CARE CENTER. The care provided for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
      FUNERAL PARLOR. An establishment with facilities for the preparation of the dead for burial or cremation, for the viewing of the body.
      GARAGE OR YARD SALE. A sale of miscellaneous household goods, held in the garage or yard of a residence. A permit is required for each day of the event and each day shall require payment of the fee. The hours and days of the event must be listed on the permit. Permit must be clearly posted at all times during the sale. The GARAGE OR YARD SALE event cannot encroach on the right-of-way, including sidewalks and streets, unless and until a separate permit has been granted for use of the city right-of-way/street.
      GENERAL CONTRACTOR. The contractor with main responsibility for construction, improvement, or renovation project under contract, and is the party signing the prime construction contract for the project. The GENERAL CONTRACTOR is the person or entity who hires all of the subcontractors and suppliers for a project. It is an individual, partnership, corporation, or other business entity that is capable of performing construction work as a contractor with overall responsibility for the satisfactory completion of a project using its own forces to perform or supervise part of the work.
      HEALTH CARE CENTER. A building or an institution where medical services are practiced.
      HOME BASED BUSINESS. A small business which operates from the business owner or manager’s residence, serving from one to no more than five customers per week, or a business which routinely stores an excess of an amount as set by the city from time to time worth of equipment and/or inventory for the operation of a business at a residence or in a residential area not otherwise regulated by this code.
      HOSPITALS. An institution in which sick or injured persons are given medical or surgical treatment.
      INDUSTRY. The aggregate of manufacturing or technically productive enterprises, often named after a particular product.
      JANITORIAL. One who attends to the maintenance or cleaning of a building.
      LANDSCAPING/SNOW REMOVAL. Lawn care services, and/or snow removal.
      MASS GATHERING. Temporary collections of large numbers of people at one site or location for a common purpose.
      POST-SECONDARY/VOCATIONAL SCHOOL/OTHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION. A post secondary, vocational, or other educational institution which provides education or training such as a university, college, graduate school, or professional schools, or non-accredited tutoring business.
      PUBLIC CENTER. A facility open to the public for activities, meetings, events.
      SCAVENGER. A person who searches for and collect discarded items.
      SECONDHAND/RESALE. Common place to find cheap used goods.
      SWIMMING POOL. A structure, a concrete-lined excavation of rectangular shape filled with water.
      TRUCKING COMPANY. A company that ships goods or possessions by truck.
