   (B)   Description of business categories. For the purpose of this section, the following descriptions shall apply.
      ARCADE FACILITY. A retail establishment with electronic computerized game equipment for amusement for monetary costs to be used.
      AUTO BODY SHOP. An auto repair shop or garage specializing in fixes or modifications to a car’s chassis (doors, hoods, bumpers).
      AUTO REPAIR SHOP. A retail or other establishment which performs vehicle repairs by mechanics.
      AUTO SERVICE STATION. A retail establishment dispensing gasoline, diesel fuels, or other energy source primarily for transportation purposes. A single PUMP is defined as one fuel station with a single nozzle for the dispensing of fuel or other energy source.
      BILLBOARDS. A structure for displaying advertisements.
      BILLIARD ROOM. A retail establishment with a game played on a rectangular, cloth covered table with raised cushioned edges for entertainment purposes. Monetary costs may be levied.
      CAR WASH. An area or building equipped for washing vehicles.
      CURRENCY EXCHANGE. A financial institution other than a bank or credit union primarily involved in cashing checks, making short-term or “payday” loans, selling financial instruments such as money orders, phone cards, domestic and international wire transfers, car title loans, or providing notary services.
      DRY CLEANER. A retail establishment to clean clothing or fabrics with chemical solvents for a monetary cost.
      EXTERMINATOR. A retail establishment or person who is hired to get rid of vermin by destroying completely.
      FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS. Banks, credit unions, and other FDIC insured establishments which perform financial transactions including banking, investing, and lending money.
      FURNITURE STORE. A retail establishment that sells equipment useful for comfort, conveniences, or appliance articles (home and/or office use).
      HOTEL/ROOMING HOUSE. A retail establishment that provides lodging for a monetary cost.
      JUNK SCRAP DEALER/RECYCLER. A retail establishment that provides recyclable materials such as aluminum, brass, copper, or plastics, and any other material substances found in organic waste.
      KENNEL/PET SHOP. A retail establishment where dogs are bred, trained, or boarded for monetary cost.
      LAUNDROMAT. A retail establishment equipped with washing machines and dryers for public use. Apartment complexes may or may not charge monetary costs.
      LUMBER YARD. A retail establishment that sells new or used lumber and other building materials.
      NEW CAR DEALER. A retail establishment that sells or business transactions for purchasing new vehicles.
      NO PAWN. A retail establishment which purchases seller’s items in exchange for cash. Each broker shall keep a ledger in which shall be recorded legibly and in ink, at the time of making each loan, an accurate account and description of the goods, articles, or things received as well as a photograph of the same, and the name and address of the person(s) who exchanged or sold such goods, articles, or things with the business. The NO PAWN broker and its employees shall take such steps as reasonably necessary to ascertain the true name and identity of the persons with whom the NO PAWN does business.
      PAWN BROKER. A retail establishment which lends money at interest in exchange for personal property left as security. This retail establishment purchases seller’s items in exchange for cash. Each BROKER shall keep a ledger in which shall be recorded legibly and in ink, at the time of making each loan, an accurate account and description of the goods, articles, or things received as well as a photograph of the same, and the name and address of the person(s) who exchanged or sold such goods, articles, or things with the broker. The BROKER shall take such steps as reasonably necessary to ascertain the true name and identity of the persons with whom the broker does business.
      PAYDAY LOANS. A financial institution that lends money with interest for a short period of time on a contractual promise to repay when the individual receives their weekly or bi-weekly paycheck.
      PHRENOLOGY. A person that may appear to have the ability as a psychic to predict one’s future.
      PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. Any private or public owner or manager of a property who exercises control or oversight of an aggregate of more than two commercial, industrial, or residential real estate properties, which are rented, leased, used for storage, or otherwise generate, or are intended to generate income or provide value to a business operation. This includes real estate properties located within the city and/or property management offices located within the city, which manage the requisite number of real estate properties which may be located within the city or elsewhere.
      PUBLIC HALL. A building for public gathering or entertainment at no charge or monetary costs.
      TATTOO/PIERCING. A business which provides tattoo or piercing services. Such a business shall not provide tattoo or piercing services to minors under the age of 18 without the express prior written permission of the minor’s parent or guardian.
      TAXI CAB SERVICES. An automobile that carries passengers for a fare.
      USED CAR DEALER. A retail establishment that sells or business transactions for purchasing used vehicles.
      VEHICLE FOR HIRE. An automobile, such as a limousine, coach bus, moving truck (furniture and equipment).
