(A) The Chief of Police is authorized to determine and designate intersections where particular hazard exists, upon other than through streets, and to recommend whether vehicles shall stop at one or more entrances to any stop intersection.
(B) At every place where a stop is required by this subchapter, the Chief shall cause a stop sign to be erected. When a stop sign is erected pursuant to this subchapter, automobiles and vehicles shall comply by stopping.
