§ 70.056 TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES; DAMAGE, DESTRUCTION, OR ABSENCE REPORTS.
   It is declared to be the duty of every police officer to report promptly, in writing, to the Chief of Police the absence, destruction, or damage to any official traffic-control devices or signals required to be erected or maintained under the provisions of this chapter of which he or she has knowledge. The Chief shall thereupon promptly report or cause the same to be reported to the persons under the jurisdiction of the Board of Public Works and Safety employed for the erection and maintenance of the devices or signals.
