(A) A container for garbage and trash shall be of sturdy construction, flyproof, watertight, made of galvanized or nonrusting metal or impervious material or suitable substitute, approved by the proper city authority, shall have a close-fitting metal lid or cover, and shall have two suitable handles so that the containers can be handled easily by one person. The container shall be kept in suitable condition and shall be covered at all times except when being filled or emptied.
(B) Concrete containers or immovable containers of acceptable construction, dimensions, and type, first approved by the city, may be used.
