§ 30.040 SERGEANT-AT-ARMS.
   The Chief of Police shall detail and assign a police officer of the rank of sergeant or higher to act as sergeant-at-arms at Common Council meetings. The sergeant-at-arms shall preserve order in and about the Council chamber. He or she shall act as messenger for the Council and shall act under the direction of the Council or the President and shall obey the orders of the Council.
