(A) In interpreting and applying the provisions of this chapter, they shall be held to be the minimum requirements for the promotion of the public safety, health, convenience, comfort, morals, prosperity, and general welfare.
(B) Wherever the regulations of this chapter require a greater width or size of yards, courts, or other open spaces or require a lower height of buildings or less numbers of stores or require a greater percentage of lot to be left unoccupied or require a lower density of population or require a more restricted use of land or impose other higher standards than are required in an other ordinance or regulation, private deed restrictions, or private covenants, these regulations shall govern, but if the requirements of the other ordinances, regulations, private deed restriction, or private covenant is the more restrictive, then those requirements shall govern.
