§ 152.017 EMERGENCIES.
Whenever the City Health Officer finds that an emergency exists which requires immediate action to protect the public health he or she may, without notice or hearing, issue an order citing the existence of an emergency and requiring that the action be taken as he or she deems necessary to meet the emergency and so inform the Building Commissioner. Notwithstanding the other provisions of this chapter, the order shall be effected immediately. Any person to whom an order is directed shall comply therewith immediately, but upon petition to the Director of Public Health shall be given a hearing as soon as possible in the manner provided in § 152.014. After the hearing, depending upon the finding as to whether the provisions of this chapter have been complied with, the Board shall continue the order to modify it or revoke it.
