§ 132.055 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY. The City Code Enforcement and Building Department assisted by the Law Department.
   HEARING AUTHORITY. The Hearing Authority shall be the City Board of Public Safety.
   OCCUPANT OF PROPERTY. Any person occupying a dwelling unit, residence, or portion thereof, or one using the property as a legal address for any purpose for more than 60 days in one calendar year.
   OWNER. Any person with a substantial property interest as defined by I.C. 36-7-9-2, whether that person occupies the structure or residence or resides elsewhere.
   PUBLIC NUISANCE. Conduct occurring in property which is injurious to public health or safety, illegal, criminal, unsafe, or a violation of any federal or state law, local ordinance, Fire Code, or Health Code, or injurious to the peace and safety of adjoining occupied structures.
