(A) Whoever violates any provision of this chapter for which no specific penalty is otherwise provided shall be fined not more than $500 or imprisoned for not more than 30 days, plus any additional state assessments; provided that the penalty shall not exceed the penalty provided by state law for a similar offense. (B) The Public Works Director or his designee shall have the responsibility for issuing citations for violations of this chapter. (‘90 Code, § 20-3.1)
