§ 151.16 ELECTRICAL ADVISORY BOARD.
   (A)   Created; membership.
      (1)   There is hereby created an electrical advisory board, hereinafter known as the Electrical Advisory Board, consisting of not less than three or more than five members. Such members shall be elected by the City Council for a period of three years or until a successor is named. Of the first members elected the term of office shall be staggered over a three-year period.
      (2)   A person to be eligible to serve on the Electrical Board shall be one of the following: Master electrician, journeyman electrician, electric engineer, engineer, architect, power company representative or one who has served the required time in a related electrical field. Each member of the Board shall have served at least five years in his respective field. No more than one member of a single firm shall serve concurrently on the Board.

   (B)   Duties. The duties of the Electrical Board shall be:
      (1)   Hearing of appeals to vary the application of the Electrical Code of the city as written and the National Electrical Code or to appeal the decision of the Building Official. No member shall act on a case where he has a personal interest.
      (2)   Periodic review of the city electrical code for the purpose of keeping it apace with current good electrical practices.

   (C)   Organization; meetings. The Board shall elect a Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson and shall establish rules and regulations for its own procedure not inconsistent with the provisions of this code. The Board shall meet at regular intervals, to be determined by the Chairperson, or in any event, the Board shall meet within ten days after notice of an appeal has been received. ('90 Code, § 7-39)
