(A) The Fire Official, Building Official or their designee shall require a key box to be installed in an accessible location, where immediate access is necessary to verify the existence of a fire or other emergency in new commercial buildings or in existing commercial buildings the Fire Official, Building Official or their designee deem necessary.
(B) The key box shall:
(1) Be of a type approved by the Fire Official, Building Official or their designee;
(2) Contain keys to gain necessary access as required by the Fire Department; and
(3) Be installed in a manner approved by the Fire Official, Building Official or their designee.
(C) After receiving due notice by the Fire Official, Building Official or their designee, any owner violating this requirement shall be subject to fine, as stated in § 10.99 of the City Code of Ordinances.
