The use of better site design and nonstructural stormwater management measures is encouraged to minimize reliance on structural stormwater management measures. The use of one or more site design measures by the applicant may allow for a reduction in the water quality treatment volume required and the stream channel protection volume required. The applicant may, if approved by the SWMD, take credit for the use of stormwater better site design practices to reduce some of the requirements specified in the criteria section of these regulations. The site design practices that qualify for these credits and procedures for applying and calculating the credits are identified in Appendix B of Ord. 2008-06, a copy of which is available for public inspection during normal business hours in the office of the City Clerk.
