A. It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge a firearm within the corporate limits of the City except on any property twenty (20) acres in size or larger when the discharge will not endanger persons or property or on any property owned by the Bureau of Land Management. Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit any officer of the law from discharging a firearm in the performance of his or her duties, nor to prohibit any person from discharging a firearm when lawfully defending any person or property or when lawfully discharging a firearm on a sport shooting range as defined in Idaho Code.
