(a) This Article establishes policies, regulations, and standards necessary to ensure that the Town will continue to realize the benefits provided by trees, plants, shrubs and flora located on public property and affecting public property.
(b) The provisions of this Article are enacted to regulate the planting, maintenance, protection and removal of trees, shrubs, plants and flora located on or affecting public property. It also provides for the issuing of permits for the planting, maintenance, protection and removal of trees, shrubs, plants and flora on public property. (Ord. No. 2007-04, 3-21-07)
