Sec. 6-40 Inspection.
   (a)   The Chief of Police, or his or her delegate, shall have the right to inspect any alarm system on the premises where it is intended to be used, both prior to and subsequent to the issuance of a permit, at reasonable times, for the purpose of determining whether a permit should be granted or renewed, and to determine if said alarm system is being used in conformity with the terms of the permit, industry standards, and in compliance with applicable laws and ordinances.
   (b)   Each alarm user who is directly linked to the signal board at the Dyer Police Department authorizes the Chief of Police or his or her delegate to have the alarm system inspected at least once each year by an alarm equipment supplier chosen by the Town for such purpose. Any costs incurred for said inspection shall be the responsibility of the licensee, and shall in no way be the responsibility of the Town of Dyer.
