Permitted Devices. No person shall use or cause or permit to be used, an alarm system utilizing signaling devices that automatically select a public trunkline of the Police Department of the Town of Dyer and then reproduce any prerecorded message to report any robbery, burglary, fire, hazard or other emergency.
With the exception of local alarms, only signaling devices shall be permitted to be installed in the Town for the purpose of reporting any robbery, burglary, fire, hazard or other emergency to the Police Department of the Town. For alarm systems other than those that are directly linked to the Police Department of the Town of Dyer, the central station must call the premises at which the alarm has been activated in an effort to ascertain the validity of the alarm, before calling or relaying the alarm to the Dyer Police Department.
